Daveyton, Gauteng
The Chris Hani informal settlement in Daveyton is an area suffering great poverty. The incidence of HIV/AIDS related illness is high. Children run many homes as their parents have passed on as a result of AIDS related sicknesses.
Two hundred families in the area are in dire need of support. Thirty five families in the area have been identified as those suffering the most.

Eastern Cape Uitenhage – Port Elizabeth, is a place of immense poverty, children with HIV being take in by kindly elderly people who are converting their tiny homes to try and give these children at least a basic kind of life. Hundreds of infected children are being victimised by their own community. With no parents around to support and protect them, their lives appear to be worthless.
