 THE FIRST LINE OF DEFENCE

It is imperative that the children have proper nutrition every day, in order to maintain their health and to receive the full benefit from this  magnificent opportunity afforded them by Food 4 Africa and it’s sponsors, locally and from abroad. There is no better start in these critical development stages of their lives, than  being given the proper nutrition – “the first line of defence”, and must not be wasted or abused. We at Food 4 Africa, will relay this to the care givers, to ensure that they fully realize the importance of feeding the children under their wing correctly and that junk food will no longer be tolerated.  Our sponsors want positive long term results from the monies given, and will now get it.

Benefits to the children

The children will have a full tummy every day. The Food 4 Africa porridge expands to 4 times it’s volume, thus alleviating hunger, the worst depressant in their every day life.

Increased energy levels, better concentration and a sense of well being, makes it  easier for the children  to cope with everyday schooling.

The physical changes will be noted by:

  • the sparkle in their eyes,
  • an abundance of energy and laughter,
  • the absence  of  listlessness, morbidity and runny  noses,
  • their complexions change and
  • the kids in fact, will radiate good health.

We need to ensure that their immune systems are being built up and maintained in order to help fight off opportunistic diseases. We as parents and those that care, unfortunately cannot prevent the HIV/AIDS virus from spreading – we can tell them what not to do – and help them build up the resistance against the virus – at this stage, the first line of defence, until a cure is found, is proper nutrition. Those with a strong immune system and are HIV positive, can lead a normal life due to the fact that the viruses are being held at bay, because their immune system are being maintained at optimum levels.

That everyone of these children must have the correct feeding every day, is so important, that in fact:-

these children’s lives depend on it.

We appreciate your involvement in taking action in assisting these little ones receive proper nutrition in the most crucial stages of development in their lives, and it would be wonderful to take anyone to the relevant pre-schools or places where these  children, with compromised immune systems are being cared for, to witness the good you are doing.
